I planted a 4-in-1 cherry tree. Followed the planting instructions. The soil is wet , but not soaked to the point of over-watered. After about 2 months , the tree started getting japanese beetles. I used an insecticide powder (safe for fruit trees) , but it didn't help. Now the leaves are wilting. I have 3 other fruit trees that are not showing the same problem. What could be wrong? |
Your tree might still be suffering from transplant shock and only time will help it establish. The beetle attack probably didn't help it either! I'd continue to water on a regular basis and just let the tree recover from the double whammy. As soon as the roots are well established it should perk up. Hope it's soon! |
