I have been growing garlic and its growing well. How do I know when to harvest it and how do I do it? Does it need to dry out?

When leaves begin to yellow at the end of the summer season, check maturity by lifting a bulb. If you harvest too early, you'll sacrifice size. If you harvest too late, the papery outer shell will have begun to deteriorate, making storage life shorter. After pulling the garlic out of the ground lay it in the sun for a day so it can dry. When the outer skin is papery you can store your garlic. Good luck with your garlic!
