I have a holly bush that is need of being pruned when is the proper time to prune it. Iam a little worried about pruning because it is really dry inVirginia |
Early spring is the best time to prune your holly. If you prune it now or later in the fall when the weather cools you'll prune off all the flowers/berries. It won't hurt your plant but the birds might be upset! If you wait to prune in the spring just as new growth is beginning your holly will grow quickly and cover up the pruning cuts. Best wishes with your landscape! |
