watering marigolds w/ 90 degree temps - Knowledgebase Question

we have been experiencing extreme temps in the NYC area.i have been watering my marigolds once in the am and again in the pm. they are losing their bloom. is it because of my watering or the 90 degree temps? need advise on watering

Watering once in the early morning and keeping the water off the foliage and flowers is the best way to keep your marigolds happy. Don't water twice a day - too much water can suffocate roots. Trim off the dead flowers and your marigolds will develop new flowers all summer long. Enjoy!
