I am planting some trees in Dallas, and wish to begin as early as possible to give all of the plants the longest possible time to establish themselves before the heat of the summer arrives. Must I wait until the average date of the last frost has passed before I plant these trees? If not, when may I plant them?

You can plant the trees anytime during the dormant season. You are right about wanting to give them plenty of time to start establishing themselves before summer.

Good luck with your trees!
