Hot weather can render pollen sterile so even if you transfer pollen by hand, it may not produce a fruit. There's not much you can do to make your plants produce. When they are ready, they will. And, they really will because their whole purpose as annual plants is to flower, set fruit, develop seeds and die. Just be patient with your plants and you'll be rewarded.
