Can you please tell me if I need to cut the stems down once the daylily flower dies?
I would appreciate your assistance.
Thank you.

A flowering stem on a daylily will produce several flowers. As each flower fades you can pinch it off and when no more flowers appear on the stem you can prune the stem down to foliage level. A new flowering stem will emerge and if you pinch off the dead flowers and cut down the stem, a new flowering stem will grow again. Hope this clarifies things for you.
