Sounds like insects are feeding on your banana plant and it is exuding sap from the wounds. You'll need to carefully inspect your plant to determine if there really are insects present or if the plant has developed some kind of disease. Either way, it's sick and you'll need to find out exactly why before you can take corrective measures. Good luck with your plant!
