I have an enormous tree which was diagnosed with Dutch Elm disease and has been being treated for the condition.Despite this, it is dropping all of its leaves. Should the tree be taken down? How long is it safe to leave it up?

If your tree was treated for Dutch Elm Disease you should see some improvement in its health. I'd wait a little longer to see if the next flush of leaves it produces remains green. If not, it may be time to remove the tree before it dies completely and becomes a hazard.
