I believe I have carpenter ants in my old Maple tree. There is huge black ants everywhere, they were moved here when the state rebuilt our street. They have moved into my Mulburry tree and my CrepMirtles too. There is a big pile of

You may not be able to control the carpenter ants in your tree. Sounds like a job for a professional - someone licensed to use restricted use pesticides. You can certainly try, though. You can use Combat or Spectracide ant bait products. Hope you control them!
