Will deer eat hibiscus plants? Mine has been cut back twice recently. Each branch is cut and the new buds are gone. What can I do?

Yes, deer will eat hibiscus plants. If the damage is up high on the shrub, deer are probably to blame. If the damage is on the lower 2' of the shrub, rabbits are probably the culprits. I'm afraid fencing your hibiscus is the only way to keep critters from munching on it.
