Spring is the best time to prune. Next best is when it is actively growing in the summertime. If you prune in the fall or winter, new growth will be sparse and your eucalyptus will look unattractive for several months. You can shorten the branches or remove them completely, depending upon what you need to prune to make it look attractive. Best wishes with your project.
