bugs eating my shrubs - Knowledgebase Question

I found my shurb (an evergreen) covered in bugs that were eating this shurb before my eyes. They seem to have started from the gound up and they hang from the green portion eating away and covering themself in a layer of the dead/partialy digested plant. I dusted teh shrubs very heavily with

What you describe sound like bag worms. If so, Bt (bacillus thuringensis) will control them. It's sold as Dipel or Thuricide in the garden center.
