This past spring I planted 2 poppy plants w/in 2 months 1 has died (after it bloomed a bit) and now the 2nd one has browning leaves and dead blooms. What is causing this? Too much water? It gets @least 6 -8 hrs of afternoon sun. |
Poppies do tend to die down after they have finished flowering and have set seeds. You can prolong their lives by cutting off the flowers when they begin to wilt and before they can develop seeds. At this point, just cut them down to ground level. They will resprout for you next spring. Enjoy! |
