I have once time blooming iris and I have reblooming iris. I want to cut them back 1/2 to tidy them up. Can I do that at this time or do I need to let them die back or in the reblooming ones..leave them to soak up the rays for reblooming. Thanks

You can trim the leaves down by one half. The remaining leaves will be able to transport carbohydrates back into the roots and rhizomes for growth next year. I cut mine in a fan shape but you can certainly cut yours straight across. Whatever looks best in your garden. Enjoy your garden!
