thin lilacs - Knowledgebase Question

Some of my standard lilac bushes have very few leaves. Some of the smaller twigs have died. This was the case last year also. Some lilacs in the same row are full and beautiful. They are 10 yrs old. What is my problem.

There may be a root problem or your lilacs my be harboring a disease. I'd prune them back to encourage healthy new growth. If you see the same symptoms you may need to use a fungicide spray. Hope this solves the problem.
