I had ahpids on my hanging petunia plant and in my potted plants. I never had these before. I went online and It said to spray with dish detergent mixed with vegetable oil and water. I did and now the plants seem to have drooped and the flowers have closed. Please Help

Instead of a homemade product, I'd use Safer's Insecticidal soap. The vegetable oil you used clogged the pores in the leaves so no exchange of air can take place. The leaves will turn crispy brown over time. I'd prune the plant back to see if it will develop healthy new stems. Next time you see aphids, wash them off your plant with a strong stream of water. If they return, use an insecticidal soap to kill them off.
