I live in Ga. zone 7.
I would like to plant atree to replace one in my island that has died. Just planted it in April.
Can I plant one now? Is so what kind will have a chance to suvive this summer. Thanks.....

The hot summer weather will really stress your new tree out so I think waiting until this fall is a good idea. I know the spot will look bare for the rest of the summer but if you plant your new tree when the weather is oooler it will get off to a better start and remain healthy. I'd wait....
