I have grown some basil that I consider store quality. The leaves a dark green and very fragrant. The bugs like the basil too.I went to home depot and bought some sevin and sprayed the plants.I worry about the residue from the pesticide being harmful since the leaves will be eaten raw and cooked in recipes. Is there a proper way to spray the sevin? |
There's a waiting period between applying Sevin and harvesting so check the label. Usually we recommend just spraying with water to discourage the insects because the leaves are often eaten raw. In either case, hope you have a great harvest! |
