I planted two strawberry plants last year, had no fruit, but they survived the winter and produced several more plants this summer but still no fruit.

Strawberries need lots of sunshine in order to flower and develop fruits. Make sure yours are getting at least 8 hours of sunshine. If they are not flowering they may be getting too much fertilizer - lots of nitrogen promotes lots of green growth but at the expense of flowers. I hope your plants begin to flower soon!
