I planted & fed a Noisette Blush Rose in May and it is growing and thriving. Am I to prune the spent roses as they die so that new ones will bloom?

Yes! If you cut off the spent flowers, along with some of the stem, you will encourage your plant to develop more roses. I cut the flowering stem down to a 5-leaflet leaf and new flowering stems emerge in a few weeks. Enjoy your roses!
