|The variegated leaf color is more pronounce on the newer leaves and seems to remain longer when given some protection from hot summer sunshine. If you're growing yours as an ornamental, shady conditions will help the leaves retain their color. Aside from protection from sun, there's not much you can do to encourage the leaf color. Sorry I can't provide a fix!
