My ornamental grass has taken over my garden, strangling my iris. How do I contain this grass in one or more spots? Help.

Ornamental grasses spread through underground roots and stolons so to contain them you'll need to dig them up, remove any remaining roots in the ground, divide the plants into smaller pieces and replant. I've had good luck in containing them by planting them in containers and sinking the containers into the ground. This keeps the roots compact and easy to contain. Every few years pull up the pots, divide the grasses and replant in fresh potting soil. Hope this technique works as well for yo as it does for me.
