I live in Tampa and need to replace some sod dug up by the county. I have classic. I can't seem to find any classic st Augustine. Can I use Palmetto and will it match?

Look for Raleigh St. Augustine. Palmetto has a different blade color and I think you'll notice the difference. Or, why not take plugs from your established Classic St. Augustine? You might be able to cut long strips of the sod where it meets a sidewalk or flower bed and it won't be very noticeable. Or you can use a bulb planter to take out circles of sod to plant in the bare area. Just fill in the spots where you removed the sod and your St. Augustine should spread and fill in the bare aras.
