Heat stress can cause premature fruit drop but it might also be that your avocado tree simple set more fruit than it could grow to maturity and the fruit drop is a natural thinning process initiated by a tree that is too young to develop all the fruits it set. The remaining fruits will grow larger as a result of this natural fruit drop. Enjoy!
