color change in the ptilotus(joey) - Knowledgebase Question

I purchased a ptilotus(joey) about 3 weeks ago it was a beautiful purple and nowit is sickly grey ia that normal or have I done something wrong

It sounds as though the flower spikes are aging and should be trimmed off the plant. They will continue to fade in color and then turn a tannish brown as the stems die back. I'd just remove the flower spikes and wait for the plant to produce healthy new flowers. Enjoy your Joey!
