How can I stop the chipmunks from invading my flower beds? They have holes everywhere and are uprooting my perennials and also annuals that were planted in large pots. We seem to have an over abundance of these little critters this year and they are driving my little dog crazy also.

Thanks again

There are several things you can try. One is to spray a repellent labeled for squirrels and chipmunks; be sure to read and follow all of the label directions. Another is to cover the soil surface with wire mesh such as chicken wire to make it more difficult for them to dig. Another method, for potted plants, is to cover the soil surface with tin foil or thorny clippings to deter them. I hope this gives you some ideas.
