Norfolk Island pine is not frost hardy so if you're sure your garden does not receive winter frosts or snow, and temperatures remain above 40F all year around, you can safely plant it in the ground. These plants prefer bright shade so find a spot in your garden without direct sunshine. They like lots of humidity and soils that drain well. Aside from the above they are very easy to grow. Enjoy!
