I transplanted several forsythia and their leaves turned brown. There was some green growth however we had severe heat and I was out of town. Now they are full of brown leaves will they recover?

Your forsythia may still be alive so I would continue to give the plants good care, just as if they were growing normally. If the roots are still alive they will send up new stems and leaves. At that time you can prune away anything that's obviously dead to make room for the new growth. Be sure to water your plants on a regular basis to encourage new growth. Good luck with your forsythia.
