Area: back yard facing south 80'x14' with several 15+ yrs fruit trees.
Need help: ground cover
Prefer: easy maintenance - for rotten fruits, traffic to pick up fruits, no need for dead triming, all season green and lovely bloom in some seasons.
Thank you very much for your recommendation.

You might try Crown Vetch, Verbena or Salvia 'Gracias' which has gray-green foliage and pale purple flowers. It is very low growing only about 6 inches to a foot tall. It makes an excellent ground cover. Hope these suggestions are helpful.
