|I want to get a start from a christmas cactus. The Q & A library said to allow the cut to callus. What does that mean?

|It simply means to allow the cut parts to air dry. This can take a few hours to a full day. As long as the cut is not oozing fluids, it has calloused over. Once the wound has calloused over it will not be so prone to developing fungal diseases. Hope this clarifies things for you. Good luck with your propagation project.
