I planted petunias in my garden in the full sun. I give them a lot of water but all the new growth is very small and it is not blooming as much as when i purchased it.
What is my soil lacking?

Petunias respond well to pinching and pruning so if you're not routinely pinching out the tips of the stems and removing the spent flowers along with some of the attached stem, your plants won't be as full and lush and full of flowers as they might be. The small growth may indicate a need for fertilizer. Use a foliar feed such as Miracle Gro to help them along and you should see results within a week or two. Enjoy your garden!
