Need a Tree in front yard - Knowledgebase Question

I planted a dogwood but it was a bad idea it could not take the full sun. I need a shade tree that can take full sun and grows fast. Most in the neighborhood have Arizona Ash or Water Oak. I don't really like these trees but if there is no other way. What do you suggest?

There are quite a few shade trees you can plant in your yard and Texas A & M has compiled a list of the best. In addition to the tree size, the list includes growing conditions, flowering, etc. I think you'll find it helpful when choosing just the right tree. Here's the website:
