I have a flowerbos that gets sun from 8am until 4pm. I need some suggestions of what will take that amount of heat - I have tried marigolds, zinnias, verbena - all have died by mid July. Any ideas - box is668inches deep and 24 inches long - 8 inches wide. Thanks

Part of the problem might be that the box is only 6-8 inches deep. That doesn't provide a great deal of room for root growth and soil that is that shallow will really heat up in the summer time. You can try growing phlox, blanket flower, and portulaca along with succulents such as hens and chicks in the boxes. Hope they perform beautifully for you.
