the deer are eating the tomatoe plants and hostas how can I stop them. I cannot put up a fence |
A physical barrier is the only sure way of keeping your plants safe from deer. If you can't fence the deer out, how about fencing your plants in? All you need are a few stakes and some chicken wire. You can enclose your tomato plant by attaching the wire to the stakes and securing one side with clothes pins so you can open the cage to harvest your fruits. A chicken wire tunnel placed over your hosta plants will protect them from the deer. Wish there were a better solution but deer have minds of their own! |
