What do to prepare the bed. Also the ground seems to be real dry. |
You can amend your soil with compost, aged manure or practically any other organic matter that is readily available. Spread 4-5 inches over the top of the soil and dig it in to a depth of 8-10 inches then level the bed and dig holes to plant your roses. Water them in well after planting and then spread another 2-3 inches of compost over the top of the bed. This will help moderate soil temperatures, slow water evaporation and suppress weeds. Enjoy your new roses. |
