Rain water and mosquitos - Knowledgebase Question

I collect rainwater to water my plants. Is there anything that I can add to the water to keep it mosquito free but keep it safe for my plants(fruit and flower)?

You can add a Mosquito Dunk tablet to your rain barrel. Mosquito Dunks contain Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (B.t.i.). B.t.i. is a bacterium toxic to Mosquito and black and psychodid fly larvae but harmless to other insects, people, pets, plants and the environment.
