Sounds like heat stress, for sure. Once your new trees have a chance to establish good root systems they won't be quite so affected by the summer heat. You'll want to encourage a deep root system so make watering wells or water basins beneath each of your trees. Fill the basin, allow to drain, then fill it a second time. Watering in this way will concentrate the moisture directly over the root system and allow it to trickle down, wetting the entire root mass. Water your trees every 5-7 days this summer, then once a week after that. Expect some premature leaf drop until your trees settle in. Best wishes with your new trees.
