|Cucumbers can become distorted if the flowers were not completely pollinated. The cukes are still safe to eat, they just won't develop viable seeds and they don't look as perfect as they might otherwise. There's not much you can do - except harvest them when they are ripe. Any new cucumbers that form now should be straight instead of curled because more insects are active this time of year and will transfer more pollen from flower to flower. Enjoy your cucumbers.
