Thanks so much for your quick reply to my river bark birch tree problem - tons of leaves are dropping off. You asked 1) if it's an established tree - it's 15 yrs old; and 2) any spots - the dropping yellow leaves have small dark spots on it. As such, it might be a fungus. Do you have any suggestions for treating this fungus? Thanks again - Bill

You can apply a product such as Hi-Yield brand Maneb Garden Fungicide, according to label directions. It's a powder but you can use 1 1/2 tablespoons per gallon of water to make a spray. Or, you can use Bonide Mancozeb Fungicide on your river birch. Best wishes your landscape.
