|When the kernals begin to fill out and the silks turn from bright white to a yellowish color you can put a drop of vegetable oil on the silks near the husk. This will prevent the larvae from crawling into the husk and feeding on the corn. Don't apply the oil too soon or the pollen won't be able to travel through the silks to pollinate the kernals and no kernals will Develop. enjoy your corn!
