|My church has mostly weeds in the church yard and we want to plant grass, but we do not want to tear up existing weeds and grass to replant, so what would be a suggestion to get more grass in by fall and then get the weeds out?

|I'd start with a weed killer such as Ortho? Weed-B-Gon Max. This will take care of the weeds without harming the existing lawn. Once the weeds are dead you can aerate the turf with a core aerator, spread a thin layer of compost or sand over the area, and water it in well. Then overseed the turf and keep it watered. Enjoy your new lawn!
