the leaves of my c. rose keep turning yellow and falling off. What is wrong, what does it need? |
As a broadleaf evergreen, hibiscus retains its leaves for 2-3 years. Eventually the oldest leaves, those towards the center of the plant outlive their usefulness and are shed by the plant. If the yellowing leaves are scattered throughout the plant I suspect they are the oldest leaves that the plant is shedding in favor of developing healthy new leaves. If the entire plant is yellowing, it could be that your hibiscus needs fertilizing or that you are overwatering. Hope this information is helpful. |
