|You can plant about the middle of August for a fall crop of these cool season veggies. Prepare the soil prior to planting by incorporating organic matter to help the soil drain well yet hold just the right amount of moisture for the roots of your plants. I spread 3-4 inches of compost over the top of the soil and work it in to a depth of 8-10 inches. Then level the soil and either sow my seeds or plant my transplants. Choose a sunny bed to grow your veggies and be sure to water them regularly so they'll grow well for you. Enjoy your garden!
