|Both spring and fall are good times to dig and transplant ferns. They're easy to care for. They like moist, humid air and moist but well draining soils. The native sword fern will take full sunshine but most other ferns prefer shade. Aside from pruning off the dead or dying fronds, ferns don't require much care at all. Enjoy!
