Annual Vinca (Catharanthus roseus), also known as Madagascar periwinkle, is considered self-cleaning, meaning you do not need to deadhead the plants. Pinching out the tips of the growing stems will result in two new stems developing where there was once only one so if you want to help the plants bush out you can pinch out the tips of the stems. You can prune the plants back by one half if they are overgrown, but they won't bloom again for 3-4 weeks. Hope this answers your question.
