My son lives in south central Texas and has asked about a tree in his yard. It has flower? pods shaped like a heart paper thin and about as big as your hand. Is this enough info to determine what kind of tree it is? |
That's really not enough information to base an identification on but I wonder if the tree is a Jacaranda? The seed pods are huge and heart-shaped. A better way to identify a tree is by the leaf shape, flower type and color (and season of flowering). Or, you might have your son take the seed pod into a local nursery for some help with identification. Hope we guessed right! |
