My pecan tree has shown evidence of tent worms. I removed the effected areas. Is there a preventative treatment for these? All neighborhood pecan trees are effected every year. |
The best control is an application of horticultural oil in the wintertime which will suffocate the overwintering eggs and stop the invasion the following spring and summer. Here's a publication from Texas A & M that you might find helpful: http://insects.tamu.edu/extens... Best wishes with your pecan tree! |
