It is now the end of July and my plum tomatoes are still very green...the plants look okay, but will my tomatoes ripen?

Some varieties can naturally take a very long time to mature, so in part that may explain the problem. However, lack of sun (tomatoes need full sun all day long for best results) and even excess shade created by very leafy vines can also cause delayed ripening. Just be patient with your plants. Eventually they will ripen and you can enjoy!
