The answer is simply to rake through your mulch every few weeks to move it around and expose the undersides to fresh air. Disturbing the mulch will send the critters scattering and they won't be so apt to make homes in your mulch. If you rake through the mulch on a regular basis I think you'll find that it remains uninhabited by cockroach and cricket populations. |
